I started working in HEV since 2015. My basic research focuses on innate immune response during HEV infection. During 2015 - 2019, I studied the role of ISG15 in HEV replication, and demonstrated U-rich HEV UTRs have differential ability to induce type III and type I IFN via RIG-I pathway. Currently, I am studying role of sex hormones - progesterone and estrogen in HEV replication and HEV-induced innate immune response.
