Call for Abstracts: International HEV Symposium in Istanbul

The International Vaccine Institute (Seoul, South Korea) is hosting a Hepatitis E Symposium this April in Istanbul and is calling for all interested researchers to submit original abstracts on HEV.

The meeting will be held from April 27 to 28, 2023, in Istanbul. The 2-day meeting will feature talks and presentations given on the latest updates on HEV epidemiology, diagnostics, treatment, laboratory research, and disease control.

Abstract submission closes on February 24th at midnight (GMT).

This event follows the first symposium hosted by the International Vaccine Institute in 2010, which brought together international experts and policy makers to review published and unpublished epidemiologic, clinical, and laboratory data and to discuss control strategies. Now over a decade later, the organizers are eager to bring the HEV research and stakeholder community together once more.

Planned sessions include:

  • Global HEV epidemiology and disease burden
  • Updates on HEV diagnostics and laboratory research
  • Current HEV treatment options and clinical research
  • Hecolin and other HEV vaccines: where do we stand?
  • HEV control efforts and policy
  • One Health

Registration to the symposium is free, and a limited number of travel awards are available. See more information here: https://www.ivi.int/hev-symposium-2023/
