Call for HEV abstract submission

Prof. Philip Meuleman, together with Prof. Heiner Wedemeyer and a few other colleagues, is organizing the 28th edition of the ‘International symposium on hepatitis C virus, flaviviruses, and related viruses’. HEV is part of the ‘related viruses’.

Every year multiple abstracts on HEV research are submitted to this meeting, but now the number is much less than anticipated. Because of the pandemic, the second HEV meeting has not been able to be organized since the successful one Prof. Wedemeyer organized for the first time in Essen.

The organizers hope that after all this time you are more enthusiastic to meet again in person and discuss the latest scientific results. So please don’t hesitate to submit an abstract on your exciting HEV research. The meeting will be organized in Ghent (Belgium) from July 6 to 9, 2022.

Abstract submission closes on Sunday May 1st at midnight.

Importantly, PhD students and young post-docs that submit an abstract as presenting author, are still eligible for the early bird registration fee of only 380 Euro.

See more information on the website: www.hcv-flavi2022.org

The organizers are confident that they will be able to organize the meeting in a very safe way, and are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will act accordingly. Your safety will always be their first priority!
